Bomb blast in Hyderabad at gokul chat and lumbini park

Hyderabad, Aug 25 (PTI) At least 20 persons were killed and nearly 60 injured in two powerful near-simultaneous blasts at a crowded park and a popular eating joint here this evening.

Eight persons died when an explosion ripped through an auditorium in Lumbini Park in the heart of the city when a laser show was on, police said.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tonight condemned the bomb blasts in Hyderabad and expressed deep concern.

Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy held an emergency meeting with top police officials and soon afterwards rushed to the spot.

The blast occurred at about 7.45 pm when the laser show at Lumbini Park had just started. So powerful was the blast that some of bodies were flung into the air and scattered over the area.

In another blast around the same time at Gokul chat bhandar at Kothi area, at least 12 persons were killed and scores were injured.

The police cordoned off the areas and sounded a red alert across the city and conducted searches at railway stations and bus depots.

The profusely bleeding injured were admitted to Osmania Hospital, Mediciti and other hospitals.

There was confusion about what exactly had caused the explosion at the eatery after initial reports said it was due to a cylinder blast.

However, police suspect that going by the impact and high casualties, it could be triggered by RDX.

The twin blasts today came three months after the powerful explosion at Mecca Masjid here in May last.

More 2 BOMBS have been disabled by the police, which were found at Dilsukhnagar.
Dilsukhnagar is also a very crowded place.

Y.S.Rajasekhar reddy say's that the Bomb blasts are responsible by the TERRORISTS.
He declares this is the work of the ISI's.
Mr L.K.Advani is coming to Hyderabad tomorrow on the eve of bomb blasts.
The bombs placed are Timer Bombs.
-some students from maharashtra engineering college came for an industrial tour and and were affected in the blasts.The bus driver of that college b.n.khandekar says atleast 3 or 4 students were killed and they are joined in mediciti hospitals.

The bombs were placed in a black color bag and a blue color bag.the bag's also contains some tiffin boxes.this proves a relation between the mecca masjid blasts also where a similar type of equipment was used.

She’s quite surprised at the news reports about her doing an item number down south, especially since Koena Mitra has her eyes on Hollywood right now. The actress informs us, “I have just signed a Hollywood film Karna , and I have no plans of doing an item number or a film down south right now for the simple reason that I would like to concentrate on Karna right now. I can’t talk about the project right now as I am under contract, but the news that I am doing an item number has come as quite a shock to me. I don’t know who is spreading these rumours.” The shooting for Karna has already begun and Koena is pretty engrossed in this exciting venture, we hear. With Orlando Bloom in the picture, we can’t really blame her, can we?

Akshay Kumar is very happy with Indian films

If most of the Hindi film industry is looking Westwards, Akshay Kumar isn’t biting the bait. The actor, thank you very much, is quite happy with his lot of Hindi films. Ask him about the rumours of him being approached for Hollywood films and he says, “I’ve never been approached for anything like that.” And what if he is approached for such films in the future? “I will do them if I get something very good. I won’t do it
if I’m only in a supporting role. I’m very happy doing Indian films, so I wouldn’t even consider such films at the moment.”

He’s now been cast with promising newcomer Deepika Padukone in Nikhil Advani’s next film which will be his comeback to action. What did he think of her? “I think she’s very good.” And has he met and interacted with her yet? “Yes, I’ve met her once,” he says.

Talking about his other forthcoming films, was he doing a sequel to his earlier hit Khiladi , we ask. “No, they’re just rumours,” he clarifies. And the sequel to the Hera Pheri series titled International Hera Pheri? Were they rumours too? “Nothing has been finalised on that front,” is all he’ll say. What about the Samna and Raghuveer which were to be made with him? “No idea about those films.” Whew! Looks like AK is on a denial spree alright.

And the rumours linking him to other actresses, we ask. Did they affect the family? “The whole family stands united against these types of rumours. Anybody who attacks the family will be dealt with,” says the actor. Considering he’s a martial arts expert, the rumour mongers had better look out.

If last week’s Chak De India was a film which could resonate to you through sport, Heyy Babyy does the same with a little baby.Contrary to what it may seem, Heyy Babyy is not a rip-off of Three men and a baby . Though you can draw parallels in the initial reels, the film tends to be quite different post the first half hour. Although the storyline is not out of the world, it is intriguing thanks to the
writers Sajid Khan and Milap Zaveri.

Aroush (Akshay Kumar), Tanmay (Ritesh Deshmukh) and Ali (Fardeen Khan) are three playboy room-mates residing in Sydney, Australia. They romance, dine and bed a number of women without thinking of how much hurt they might cause to them. One fine day, there is a knock on the door which changes their lives forever. A baby girl is kept at their door-step with a note saying ‘ kutte kamine apne bachche ko sambhalo ’.
Obviously one of them impregnated a girl and now she wants nothing of the kid. Not knowing to whom the note was referred to, the three have no choice but to take care of the baby. The guys who used to romance women just so that they could get their underwears washed are now trapped changing diapers and answering midnight baby tantrums. But, the innocence of the baby wins the hearts of the three and love prevails between them and its one big happy family now.

However, after coming to know of the whereabouts of the baby’s mother, the movie moves into a complete different direction. Its not about cleaning baby poop now, it’s about obtaining a loved one.

Having followed Sajid Khan’s personality as well as the promos of the film, one would think that this is going to be an out and out comedy, but that is not the case. After the preliminary goofy set-up of the guys trying hard to take care of the baby, it moves in another direction when the three abandon the baby outside a Church and she almost dies in the rain and when the mother stakes claim over the baby.

However, the film is not without its cons. There are a couple of extra songs in the second half that could have easily been avoided. But the Dil Ka Mamla with Shah Rukh Khan rocks though his presence in the film seemed a bit forced.

ranDeep hooDa gets hurt

While shooting for Ketan Mehta’s Colors of Passion/Rang Rasiya, Randeep Hooda landed with bleeding mouth and five stitches.Randeep was shooting a scene in which he had to fall on a heap. He did the scene once but as not satisfied and retook the shot thrice. While making his attempts to fall harder he fell to ground and leg of table came in way.

Randeep’s over commitment to acting gave him a crappy birthday gift. The incident took place on august 20, his birthday. Panic was created at Nitin Desai studios in Kajrat until medical help came. Randeep would not be able to shoot for few weeks as he can hardly speak and has swollen lips.Randeep laughingly said that he always get hurt in non action films!The film is bilingual with title Rang Rasiya for Hindi and Colors of Passion for English version.

Nana Patekar slaps Anurag

Nana Patekar slapped the co actor of film Shagird Anurag Kashyap so hard that entire unit was surprised.Nana Patekar and Anurag Kashyap (director of black Friday) were shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Shagird when in a scene nana had to slap Anurag and he slapped him so hard that everyone was stunned. After the slap Nana said “dekha kitna zor se maara, bahut shana samjhata hai apne aap ko”.

Nana moved out of shooting field boasting his slap and left Anurag speechless. On being approached Anurag said that he respects Nana and he may have done that to give a real look to scene.The film Shagird is about gangster Anurag and cops nana and Mohit Ahlawat.
